Enterprise Mobility Management at Baker Tilly
Overview of the Project
Baker Tilly scores with its approximately 1.050 employees with attractive working models, which also means that IT has to face the new challenges of mobile work. With increasing mobility and flexibility, the highest standards of security and data protection must nevertheless be guaranteed. For Baker Tilly, it was important to provide employees with protected and controlled access to company content on the go. The availability of the system landscape was also to be increased and a possibility created to be able to react dynamically to changing requirements.
Data One and Baker Tilly have developed a holistic transformation project that relies on future-proof technologies based on these requirements.
The first stage of the project was to link the existing total structure of Active Directory to Azure Active Directory, implement a centralized device management solution, and provide secure single sign-on capability to access corporate content. At the same time, the system environment was migrated to Hyper-V, System Center was fully implemented, and the migration of services to Microsoft Azure was completed. Microsoft 365 also serves as a new collaboration platform.
Baker Tilly now has an efficient, fail-safe and scalable IT infrastructure thanks to the use of cloud technologies. Users can now securely access important data regardless of time or location, and the reliability of the system environment has been increased.
The infrastructure of Baker Tilly was made mobile thanks to Microsoft Intune and the System Center Configuration Manager. Employees can now access company data securely, regardless of time or place.
